Every American should have the right to vote. Period.
In rural states – where polling places, state identification offices, even post offices can be hours away – artificial barriers and restrictions on voting make it harder than it has to be. Nebraska has proven that we can protect everyone’s right to vote and the security of our elections at the same time.
- Vote by Mail
- Online voter registration
- Automatic voter registration
- Open Primaries: you should not have to belong to a political party to help decide who belongs on the ballot
Below are a few voting bills on the Nebraska Legislature General File that we will be following in 2024.
We SUPPORT:
- LB20: Provides for the restoration of voting rights upon completion of a felony sentence
We OPPOSE:
- LB390: Shorten early-voting period and add new restrictions to ballot delivery
